Souper Center

The Souper Center has provided hunger relief to homeless and hungry community
members for 50 years. The Souper Center provides free, nutritious and hot lunches 365
days a year. At least 200 people sit down to enjoy lunch on a daily basis….and here, they
don’t find paper plates or plastic utensils. Our meals are served on quality tableware,
which reflects the respect we have for each of our guests—not to mention, its friendlier for
the environment.
This year we have had 2,550 congregation and other community volunteers help to
prepare and serve the lunches to all who walk through the doors and no one is ever
turned away.
Other continuums of care The Souper Center provides is laundry facilities, individual
mailboxes and voicemail for the homeless.
The Souper Center also provides breakfast, lunch and dinner to the families residing in
GRIP Family Housing Program. This 2017 year we served 49,472 noonday lunches and
33,185 breakfast and dinner meals served to family housing residents (to be exact!!)
We also have a new cook which has helped the increase of people looking for a hot meal.
