Description/Notes: An Emergency family shelter provides homeless families with meals, shelter and supportive services to help them become self-sufficiency. GRIP is an interfaith, interracial coalition of congregations – Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Muslims and Sikh – working to end family homelessness in West Contra Costa County.

Families in Transition Program – GRIP

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm; Answering machine: 24 hours daily

Description/Notes: Provides qualifying children who are currently homeless or in the foster care system and are enrolled within the West Contra Costa Unified School District with educational advocacy, preschool/school enrollment facilitation, school supplies, uniforms and transportation.
